Walking past a group of men of assorted ages in a coffee shop this morning I couldn’t help but wonder what they were talking about.
Old men, ancient men, young men, middle-aged men and a boy sitting, talking, eating and sipping coffee on a Friday morning.
I felt a bit sneaky sitting close enough to eaves drop.
It was a few minutes later I walked over to their table, and in tears thanked them for taking the time to discuss domestic violence and crimes against women generally.
Yes! These men had gathered on a Friday morning to discuss domestic violence and its impact on the community and their roles and reaction as men, as fathers and potential perpetrators.
The range of ages of these men (which included a boy of about ten or eleven) made the impact on me even greater.
This is quite a short blog as I’m a bit overwhelmed.
