I am inviting everyone to a celebration of a life on 23rd November 2014 at the Graman Hotel (2pm to 5pm) to remember the remarkable life of my Uncle Lincoln A. Ward and share some music, songs and stories.
Uncle Lincoln was a unique artist, businessman, maroon, fish chaser, local pool “champion” and all round Aussie character.
He had a great love of knowledge and must have read and observed extensively as his conversations spread through bird calls, geology, bush poetry, stars in the night sky, state of origin robberies, dogs and of course, local fencing skirmishes and its associated warfare.

When is ‘celebration of a life’?
Sunday, 23rd November 2014 with live entertainment from 2pm till 5pm.
Where?
Graman Hotel, 43km north of Inverell along the Yetman Road.

What time does the pub shut in case I want to kick on?
Tony is very willing to stay open late (depending on the crowd).
Do I need to book?
Walk-ins are ok BUT Tony at the Graman Hotel is really committed to great service and facilities, so if you could let him or me know in advance it would be really appreciated.

How much does it cost?
The event is free, however donations to my humanitarian aid work will be gratefully accepted. Regular bar prices for drinks, meals and snacks.
What sort of entertainment can I expect?
- A mix of laid back live music with a folk/blues/rural feel.
- Fun and fabulous bush poetry from the masters as well as some local originals.
- Tales taller than Texas: I’ve rounded up some great stories surrounding not just Lincoln but the Graman/Cherry Tree Hill/Oakwood/Inverell locals, good aussie bush tales and all totally true.
I didn’t know Lincoln Ward, can I come?
Of course! While this event is a celebration of Lincoln’s life it is a celebration of your life too. The afternoon is for all lovers of live music, bush poetry and a good story.
What facilities are at the Graman Hotel?
The Graman Hotel offers a unique bush setting and friendly old fashion hospitality. Full bar facilities as well as meals and snacks. Meals are served from 12noon till about 4pm depending on demand.

Free camping is available out the back of the pub or across the road.

Did you invite my friend Angela as well? If not, may I invite her please? The S has hit the F as far as her personal life is concerned, and she may welcome a drive in the country-side (but we will NOT drive back at night, only the next morning!).
