School in a tent

The Botongon Elementary School was almost completely destroyed by Typhoon Yolanda and the oil spill of Powerbarge 103.

I shot this video back in May 2014, the Principal of the school lamenting that the school had not received any form of aid from either government, NGOs or charities.

Returning now a year after the typhoon, I noticed a sign (see gallery below) displaying a notice that World Vision are rebuilding the school.

It should be finished before my next trip in March 2015.

The following video remains the property of bulatlat media (bulatlat.com).
