Blencoe Falls on the Kirrama Range Road

Leaving Mission Beach to the wet season was a great opportunity to cut across the Kirrama Range Road which has been closed for many years and visit Blencoe Falls.

A stunning late summer morning after a recent (much-needed) deluge and the countryside and grasslands looked incredible.

I know it was really naughty to do this (see video below) but the day was so stunning, the landscape so green and the cattle so inquisitive, I just wanted to share this beautiful place with you.

After driving for hours and hours I was stopped by this flooded bridge. A owe a big thanks to farmer Brett who happened upon me an hour or so later and guided me through the waters. I would never have been game enough to do it on my own.
