Running water is something I never really thought much about. Since moving to the Philippines I think about it a lot now. Today I would like to express my gratitude for all things indoor plumbing here in the city. Like clean water, the little button which allows Jerry to flush away his own (enormous) 8 year old boy poos, the magic feeling of steam, writing your name in the mirror, standing up while washing, a hot shower, or rinsing my toothbrush under a tap.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the men and women who dreamed, designed, developed, installed and toiled for my hot shower today. Back to Estancia life tomorrow (see below for details) …
