Ode to the WIFI Connection

oh while you are sleeping
or dreaming or driving
i’m out there, somewhere
looking … for WIFI

you might waste a whole hour
i’ll waste a whole day
updating apps
it’s the philippine way

and so now i’m just sharing
my moment of praise
the WIFI, it’s coming
in less than 10 days!

oh in less than 10 days
you’ll be at my place
WIFI, oh WIFI
bring your overnight case

oh in less than 10 days
i’ll no longer be stressed
no longer frustrated,
intense or depressed.

i’ll be madly uploading
i’ll be tweeting and tweeting
i’ll no longer be fat
there’ll be no time for eating

and then when i walk
through to streets for a chat
they’ll say “mel, what’s your diet?”
i’ll smile as i say, “ah, the WIFI did that!”

so now hand me a biscuit
and a bottle of wine
for in less than one month
i’ll be looking sublime
