Yesterday I launched neXtDRAFT my brand new eZine and I’m excited to share it with you here. neXtDRAFT is a free bi-weekly eZine delivered direct to inbox containing poetry, photos, articles, stories and book reviews. Initially the writing will be mostly my own, but I plan in time to have other writers and poets contributing their words and ideas too.
Though some of neXtDRAFT’s content will be published here on the blog, there will be other poems and short stories unique to the eZine. I Â also publish different content on Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, so it will be a way of unifying creative works and presenting to my readers in one space. The quote (above) from George Orwell’s essay ‘Why I Write” really sums up the reason I created neXtDRAFT. Apart from the joy of writing itself, committing to publishing neXtDRAFT each week propels my writing and begins a solid habit of bi-weekly deadlines. I’m also really wanting to learn the craft of writing feature stories so I plan on writing one each week and theme the eZine around it.
As a writer you are constantly fighting the little voice in your head that says you’re a complete fraud and wasting good webspace. Writing, writing and more writing seems to be the only way to push your way through these little demons.
I’m forever grateful to the wonderful people who follow my writing both here on the blog and on social media. You give me the confidence to keep going, keep writing and keep improving.
