The Sound of Christmas in the Philippines

Jerry riding the tricycle at Christmas time

This is how we travel around Estancia every day, and also how Jerry goes to school. Tricycles and motorbikes are the only public transport available and it does get a little wet in typhoon season.

At the moment we’re in the middle of a low pressure system and the rain hasn’t stopped for almost a week. Jerry is always great and doesn’t mind wearing his raincoat.

By the way did you notice the ‘jolly’ sound of Christmas as we rode through the market (this is actually the real point of this blog post)?  It’s fiesta time which means music like that will play non-stop (yes the whole night) until Christmas. Ho, ho, ho.
