Anatomy of a ScandalAnatomy of a Scandal by Sarah Vaughan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is definitely a woman’s book though I think all men should read it. I’m not sure how many will, If could insist upon it I would.

‘Anatomy of a Scandal’ arrives right at the heart of the #metoo movement and captures the real reasons why so many women don’t report rape. And sadly, that most know the perpetrator.

This is the first book I’ve read by Sarah Vaughan and she really is an excellent writer. She creates characters that go beyond what I expected of a popular thriller and (combined with the storyline) strikes for more than entertainment.

Without moralising, she leaves us (women) thinking about how we pander to our men and don’t stand stronger for who we are. (I can only speak for the woman’s side here, and I’d be interested to hear about what men got out of this book).

I won’t spoil the story for you, it twists and turns as you’d expect for a thriller and Ms Vaughan cleverly dictates the suspense. I’ll definitely be reading more of her books.

Have you read Anatomy of a Scandal? I’d love to hear what you thought.
