Haiku

The latest haiku poetry by Mel Irvine. Traditional Japanese haiku is interpreted into an English form by presenting a little poem of three lines (line one: 5 syllables, line two: 7 syllables, line three: 5 syllables).

Broken from the bottom they were dumped on the sand, soon they will disappear and return home lifeless — on the evening high tide.
