Who writes my resume?

Your resume will be written by me, Melinda J. Irvine. I am a professional resume writer with more than 16 years experience as a HR Manager and recruitment professional.

Who has access to my personal details?

Only me! Your resume will not be written by a third-party contractor, so your details remain safe and completely confidential.

What will my resume look like?

Your resume will be 1-2 pages (depending on your requirements) and presented in MS-Word format. You can choose your favourite accent colour but the majority of the text will be black/grey, in an easy to read sans serif font.

Do you use graphics and fancy fonts on my resume?

No. Recruiters prefer text-based resumes because they can be scanned by Application Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software. Fancy graphics, script fronts and emoticons are difficult to read and are often overlooked by recruitment software programs.

How will I receive my resume?

By email in DOCX and PDF format.

What if I find an error in my resume?

No problem. I work with you until you are 100% satisfied with your resume.

How do I pay for my resume?

Pay online using your credit card or PAYPAL account. If you are in Australia deposit into my bank account — you’ll find all the instructions during checkout.

What happens once I pay you?

You’ll receive a confirmation email with your tax invoice/payment receipt. Then a second email with instructions for submitting your current resume and the additional details I need to complete your resume.

What if I don’t already have a resume to upload?

That’s ok, I’ll create you a brand new resume. But you’ll need to send me your personal information, education and career history. Just put this in a word document and send that to me instead.

How long does it take to get my resume?

Once your payment clears and I have received all your information I will email you with an ETA, but it’s usually back within 2-3 business days. I stay in contact with you by email through the whole process.

Do you offer an express service?

No. But if you have a job closing soon mention your deadline and I’ll let you know right away if it’s do-able.
