A little poem celebrating a new bamboo forest to cover a beautiful island again with trees. The bamboo creates a livelihood for the people (they use it to build their houses and boats) and a future for the children (clean air and erosion control). Every child and parent on Calagnaan island spent the morning planting bamboo at the very top of their enclave.
