Content Quality

All content is fully researched from primary and other reliable sources. Everything is original and written by Melinda J. Irvine. I do not outsource to other writers, repurpose copy, or publish AI-generated content.

Payment Terms for Businesses

For new clients, jobs under $1,000 must be paid in advance — larger jobs may be paid in (agreed) installments. Usually 50% upfront and 50% payable on delivery of 1st draft.

Jobs for long-term clients must be paid within (7) days or in (agreed) installments.

Intellectual Property

Full ownership (and copyright) of the completed writing transfers to the client upon full payment of fees.

Confidentiality

I respect the confidentiality of my clients and am happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before commencing your assignment.

Editing and Reviews

I work with you until you are 100% satisfied with your copy. Sometimes it takes one or two edits, but most of my writing jobs are approved on first draft.

Online Orders

Order acceptance

All orders for writing services and digital products are subject to review and acceptance. Melinda J. Irvine reserves the right at any time after receiving your order to accept or decline your order for any reason.

If an order is declined, you will receive a full refund using the original payment method.

Payment Methods

My online shop has a secure checkout and you may use your credit card, debit card, eWallet, or PAYPAL account to purchase from our store. Available payment methods may vary according to your selected currency, but in most countries you will be able to pay with Mastercard, Visa, Discover, Union Pay, JCB, American Express, ApplePay or GooglePay.

Payments via credit card, debit card, eWAllet, and PAYPAL incur a 3% processing fee which is already included in the list price.

Bank Deposits

Australian customers may pay by depositing money into my bank account. You will also receive a 3% discount.

Discount and payment instructions are provided during checkout. Bank account details are displayed once you place an order.

Please note: I don’t commence your writing project or release digital products until your payment clears my bank account.

Currency

I have an Australian business so the default currency is AUD Australian dollars. However, I support transactions in 6 x other currencies. You may choose to pay using the following currencies:

  • US Dollar (USD)
  • Canandian Dollar (CAD)
  • Euro (EUR)
  • Pound Sterling (GBP)
  • New Zealand Dollar (NZD)
  • Philippine Peso (PHP)

Currency conversion tables on this website are updated every 30 minutes and should be considered a guide only. The final transaction will be charged in your selected currency according to the official exchange rate.

I do not charge additional fees for currency conversion.

Accessing Digital Products

Digital products such as eBooks and business documents that you purchase from this website are available for download immediately after payment.

You will receive a confirmation email with a download link once your payment is cleared by my financial provider.

You have 12 month’s access to your purchases.

Receipts and Invoices

After payment you will be emailed an order confirmation, receipt, and invoice (with my business ABN) for your records.
The payment on your bank statement or transaction list will be marked with:

Refunds

I make every attempt to resolve problems with online orders and writing services. My ethos is that everything can be resolved with a polite email and clear communication.

My refund policy is this:

  • You may request a refund by using the Contact Form on this website.
  • Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • I consider any reasonable refund request where there is evidence your concerns are genuine and digital files have not been used, shared, or copied.
  • Refunds will not be processed because you simply changed your mind.
  • Refunds, if approved, are processed using to the original payment method and (once processed) may take 7-10 working days to appear on your bank statement. Processing times are dictated by your bank or credit card institution and beyond my control.
  • Refunds will be processed in the original payment currency according to the official exchange rate. Again, this is determined by our financial institutions at the time the refund is processed and out of my control.
