Content Licensing
Business Templates
When you purchase a business template, you receive a limited licence to create a finished document for one single business or legal entity. The copyright of the original materials remains with Melinda J. Irvine Writing & Design.
What you can do with business templates:
- Customise the template by adding your own business name, logo, and branding.
- Add, remove, or rewrite content so the finished document accurately reflects your own business operations and work practices.
- Save, print, and distribute your finished document as your business reasonably requires, including sharing it with workers, contractors, auditors, insurers, or government agencies.
- Print copies of the instruction booklet for the people inside your business who are working on the policy.
What you cannot do with business templates:
- Share, sell, upload, or give away the blank template or any accompanying instruction booklets.
- Use a single purchase to cover multiple separate businesses, franchisees, or subsidiaries.
- Use the templates to prepare documents for your clients as part of a consulting, writing, or compliance service.
- Present the template, structure, or instructional content as your own work.
- Provide the instruction booklet to anyone outside of your business.

Digital Cross stitch Patterns (PDF)
When you purchase a cross-stitch pattern or Ebook, you are buying a digital file for your personal use only.
You may print a working copy for yourself, but you may not share, sell, or distribute the digital file or any printed copies. You may not upload the files to social media, file-sharing services or distribute them to stitching groups.

I respect the professional work and intellectual property of other people and only create digital products and cross stitch patterns from:
- My own drawings, paintings, and photographs.
- Paintings, photographs, and vintage cross stitch patterns that are in the public domain.
- Images that I have purchased and paid for an extended commercial licence.
- Images that I have adapted, remixed, or transformed under an appropriate licence. When required, I provide appropriate credit according to content licence.
- Artists that I have paid or have given me written permission to use their work. I provide full credit to these artists.
Copyright Concerns
I strive to protect the copyright and intellectual property of other writers, artists and designers. I perform thorough due diligence to ensure that my digital products do not infringe on someone else’s copyright or legal rights.
If you believe an image or design displayed on this website is being used inappropriately, please send a polite message on the contact form with the following information:
- Your name, street address, phone number, and email.
- Description of the image or design you believe has breached your copyright/legal rights, including our website URL where it is displayed.
- How the image/design is breaching your copyright or other legal right.
- Confirmation that you are the legal owner of the image/design.
- For agents, evidence of your authorisation to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
I am serious about copyright, and if your complaint is genuine I will ensure the issue is resolved quickly and respectfully.
