Description

Don’t Get Into Mischief cross stitch pattern is a replica of Beatrix Potter’s drawing of old Mrs Rabbit instructing Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail and Peter Rabbit not to get into mischief while she’s out buying treats for their supper. Do you think they listened? HINT: Peter Rabbit misses out on delicious currant buns.

NOW run along, and don’t get into mischief. I am going out.’

THEN old Mrs. Rabbit took a basket and her umbrella, and went through the wood to the baker’s. She bought a loaf of brown bread and five currant buns.

The Project

This is a (mostly) full coverage cross stitch but I’ve cut away the edges, just like the original painting in the book. You’ll be stitching Peter Rabbit being put into his blue coat, along with his mother and sisters. The finished piece measures 26.3cm x 28.5cm when stitched on 14 count Aida cloth, but you’ll only be completing around 18,314 stitches. The pattern works perfectly with Pattern Keeper App and there NO backstitches.

Matching Charts

Don’t Get Into Mischief cross stitch is the second chart in a set of four. If you’d love to stitch more of Peter’s adventures in Mr McGregor’s garden (plus his sisters Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail) check out the other charts in the Peter Rabbit Series.

More Beatrix Potter?

There are lots more replicas of Beatrix Potter’s wonderful animal characters here in my store. I was an avid reader growing up and I simply adored her wonderful storybooks. It’s such a delight to recreate them in cross stitch here for you now.
