Description

Mother Bear and Cub cross stitch is a gorgeous project for animal lovers and bear spirits everywhere. Don’t you just adore the incredible texture and shine of the bears’ fur and the trail of spring flowers leading up the mountain? I certainly do.

The Project

This fantastic project is NOT full coverage, so you’ll only be stitching the two bears and the mountain blossoms. The completed project measures 54.4 x 32.7cm when stitched on 14-count Aida cloth, but you’ll only complete 30,941 stitches. You’ll need 66 different DMC colours.

I’ve rated Mother Bear and Cub cross stitch Challenging, due to the large amounts of confetti and similar thread tones. I do recommend using the Pattern Keeper App to manage this project — look in your download pack for your extra PK chart. It imports seamlessly into PK.

The Bear

Brown bears are some of the world’s most beloved wild animals and are found in the mountains and forests of Europe, North America, and Asia. Although brown bears love to sleep, they are fast and powerful hunters, and the mothers are fierce protectors of their families. Cross stitching brown bears is a wonderful experience as these animals carry the energy of confidence, courage, and the medicinal powers of rest and solitude.

More Wild Animals?

If you love stitching the wild, browse the store for more animal cross stitch patterns. I’m hoping to chart more bears as well as snakes (well maybe), tigers, monkeys, and brightly coloured birds. We’ll see how far I get with it.
