When you purchase one of my business templates, Ebooks, or digital cross stitch patterns, you’ll receive a .zip file containing your documents. Zipped (compressed) files take up less storage space and can be transferred to other computers much faster than uncompressed files.
Here’s how to open the .Zip on different devices:
On a Mac:
- Locate the downloaded .zip file (usually in the Downloads folder).
- Double-click the .zip file. It will automatically extract into the same folder.
- For more assistance, visit the Apple Support page.
On a PC (Windows):
- Find the downloaded .zip file (usually in the Downloads folder).
- Right-click the .zip file and select ‘Extract All…’.
- Choose a destination folder and click ‘Extract’.
- Open the extracted folder to access your files.

On Android Devices:
- Open your File Manager app and locate the downloaded .zip file (usually in Downloads).
- Tap the .zip file. Most Android devices will automatically extract the contents.
- You’re shown a preview of the extracted files. If you want to delete the .zip file after extraction, select the “Delete ZIP file” checkbox.
- Tap Done.
- The extracted files are saved in the same folders as the original .zip file.

On iOS Devices (iPhone/iPad):
- Open the Files app and locate the downloaded .zip file (usually under Downloads or iCloud Drive).
- Tap the .zip file. It will automatically create a folder with the contents.
- Open the folder and tap the PDF to view your pattern.

Having Trouble?
- Can’t find the file? Check the Downloads folder on your device or search for ‘.zip’.
- File won’t open? Ensure you have a PDF reader installed, like Adobe Acrobat Reader.
