deflect torrid morning light —

inner-city summer

looking up tree trunk into canopy

Not far from where I live is a little pocket of rainforest trees that shroud a child’s playground and the local gym plaza. I do feel blessed to have an area of full shade, that’s just a few minutes walk from the apartment, where I can practice tai chi and reiki, even when the summer-sun is blazing.
